The Newaygo United Methodist Church app was created to help build a closer-knit community among members: you can join conversations, share photos, learn about events, and find contact info for all participants.
Newaygo United Methodist Church is a community of faith where all are welcome. We seek to make disciples of Christ in ways that show support, love and service to our community. Newaygo UMC has been a part of the community of Newaygo since the 1850s when the first Methodist Episcopal circuit rider Rev. D. Kelley preached his first sermon on June 30, 1850. Services were held in homes until our building was started in 1858 and completed in 1860 with just 9 members. The Newaygo United Methodist Church has grown to around 100 active members and many others who attend regularly. Newaygo UMC has been a part of the history of Newaygo for over 160 years. The most interesting part of our church history past and present is the people. Each and every person adds to that history because - TOGETHER WE ARE THE CHURCH. We hope that this app helps to keep you updated and connected. Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors, ...the people of Newaygo United Methodist Church.
